Optional Extras
Death or loss from theft or straying
We will refund your Pet's purchase price up to €2000 should they die as a result of an illness or injury, or if they are lost or stolen.
Holiday Cancellation & Boarding Fees
Up to €2000 to cancel or return from a holiday if your pet requires emergency, lifesaving treatment. Up to €2000 towards the cost of kennelling fees, if you need to go into hospital.
Breeding Risks Cover
Up to €2,000 towards death as a result of complications of pregnancy or giving birth and up to €1,000 towards fertility examinations and treatment.
Overseas travel cover
Including up to €1,000 quarantine kennel costs, €500 emergency expenses, and €250 towards replacing a pet passport.
Key Exclusions
- We do not offer cover for pre-existing conditions.
- There are some Breed specific exclusions and age at entry and stand-down periods. All of which can be found in our Important documents.
- There is no cover for Veterinary Fees, Death from Illness and Holiday Cancellation for the first 14 days of the Policy.
- For each condition you claim for during the period of insurance, you must pay the excess as shown in your policy schedule.

Important Information
*Based on discounted premium for first year only for dog insurance and cat insurance.
Inclusions:
With Agria Petinsure, conditions that you may have claimed for during the current policy year are not excluded from cover after renewal.
Our policy doesn’t limit the amount or the period you can claim. We provide what is referred to as ‘Lifetime Cover*’.
All insurers, including Agria Petinsure charge ‘the excess’ per condition per policy year. This is not affected by the amount of your claim and is specified in our terms and conditions.
Exclusions:
There are some exclusions, all of which you can read about in this document: Breed specific exclusions, age at entry and waiting period.
In order to maintain cover after your pet reaches 5 years of age, you must keep it vaccinated for its entire life. You must also show that you have taken it to the vet at least once a year while in your possession.
There is no cover for Veterinary Fees, Death from Illness and Holiday Cancellation for the first 14 days of the Policy.
