Making a claim is easier than you think

Our claim process is simple and hassle-free. Either you or your vet can submit a claim with the help of a claim form. In both cases, you must fill in all the relevant information on the claim forms, so there is no delay in processing your claim.

How do I file a claim for the first time?

For first time claimant, follow these steps if you’re submitting the claim form yourself

  1. Fill out the claim form and email the claim form to claims@agriapetinsure.ie
  2. Include original veterinary invoices and pet clinical records.
  3. For first time claimant, along with fully completed claim form that lists all current and previous vets, adoption details, and how long you have owned your pet. Include original veterinary invoices, pet clinical records, vaccination card, microchip record and adoption certificate.

What documents do you need in order to file a claim?

When you make your first claim, we require a complete clinical history for your pet from all vets that your pet has visited. If your pet has been referred to a specialist practice, please include the clinical history from your vet and the referral clinic. Please include all this information with your claim form to speed up the claims process.

For all claims, your vet must provide
  • Invoices for the treatment dates you’re claiming.
  • Fill out the Veterinary Section, sign, stamp, and date the claim form.
  • First-time claimants must provide clinical history for treatment dates claimed and for all clinical history since registration.
  • Alternatively, if you are the payee, provide proof that you have paid the vet.

The above requirements are a general overview. From time to time, we may require additional information or documentation for example, digital copies of x-rays, external laboratory reports etc.

How does the claim process work at Agria Petinsure?
  • You will be notified by SMS when your claim is received.
  • Our claims administration team will assess your claim to see if all necessary documentation has been provided.
  • A claims handler will review your claim if it has all the required documentation. In most cases, complete claims are processed within five business days.
  • If documentation is missing, such as your pet’s vaccination card, the claims administration team will contact you. You will have 10 business days to provide this documentation.
  • If missing documentation or information is received following our initial request, it will be added to your claim. Your claim will then be assigned to a claim’s handler for review.
  • In the event we do not hear from you or your vet (if applicable) within the initial 10 business days, we will email you and your vet (if applicable) a final reminder on the 10th business day and provide you with another 10 business days.
  • If the missing information is not received within 20 business days, the claim will be closed.
